Where did all the time go? In the wink of an eye, we’re now well into our fourth month of 2015! Looking back, 2014 was packed with so many highlights for Motor Image, making it highly eventful and fun, not just for us, but also you — our fellow Subie enthusiasts.

We welcomed five new models in the Southeast Asia region in 2014. The much-anticipated Subaru WRX and WRX STI were finally launched in Manila, Philippines in April. In July, we launched the exclusive Subaru XV-STI Performance edition in our brand new Petaling Jaya showroom in Malaysia. The Subaru XV-STI Performance features sportier exterior finishing, refined interior upgrades and more for enhanced drivability. Subaru is committed to making our cars safe and this has been proven through the years as Subaru models have consistently been awarded various safety awards. Just in 2014 alone, the Subaru XV has won safety awards such as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) with a 5-Star overall rating, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick award and also achieved top rating of Advanced Safety Vehicle-Plus (ASV+) for JNCAP (Japan New Car Assessment Program) Preventive Safety Performance Assessment.

In November 2014, we also saw the regional launch of Subaru’s luxury models; the all-new Subaru Outback and Legacy in Bangkok, Thailand. These facelifted models have skilfully incorporated performance, luxury and Subaru’s state-of-art technologies to bring out the best driving experience for users. Another milestone for Motor Image in 2014 was Mr. G Jaishanker from Singapore beating participants from Singapore and around the region to win the 13th Mediacorp Subaru Challenge with a record-breaking time of 82 hours and 16 minutes.

Making a great comeback after a seven year hiatus, the Singapore Motorshow welcomed 2015 with the roar of an STI engine. Aside from the all-new Subaru Outback making its debut in Singapore, visitors to the Subaru booth also got a first-hand preview of the Subaru Levorg and Subaru VIZIV Concept car. Visitors not only got to enjoy but also experienced adrenaline-fuelled stunt performances by Mr. Russell Swift, world renowned precision driver, and holder of three Guinness World Records. 2015 promises to bring more exciting events as we will continue to entertain Subie enthusiasts with plenty of activities to keep the adrenalin fuelled!
